I developed a framework of custom PHP classes to speed development, including a buffered stack-based XHTML generator, a template system (before Smarty), an SQL helper with a common interface to a replaceable back-end (that is faster than PEAR DB), an XML generator and parser, custom session handler (before PHP sessions actually worked), an iterator for large datasets (prior to PHP 5 iterator, for speed and better resource handling), simple code profiling and debugging tools, along with many other common task handlers.
Using this framework, I developed custom web-based (LAMP) ecommerce system and supporting applications, including a template-based product manager, a customer account system and shopping cart with support for customized items, wholesale pricing, and promotions, a fulfillment system with support for blind-shipping, shop & compare feeds, Amazon integration, PPC tracking (before Analytics), and many, many others.
I've integrated various disparate systems, including our online web system with a Windows-based ERP. Other Windows applications I've written include a time clock scanner app integrated with web-based staff time manager, and warehouse systems to print pick tickets by location, customized blind-ship packing sheets, along with FedEx and UPS integration.
I’ve been with this company for over 11 years.
Nearly everything they use was written by me, except what’s commonly canned, like MS Office and the ERP system.
